Lage und Einwohner

Die Gemeinde Dazio im unteren Veltlin liegt rund 30 Kilometer westlich von der Provinzhauptstadt Sondrioentfernt und hat 505 Einwohner (Stand 31. Dezember 2024).

Die Nachbargemeinden sind Civo, Talamona, Ardenno und Morbegno.

Bevölkerungsentwicklung

Verkehrsanbindung

Die Gemeinde Dazio ist über die Provinzstraßen SP10 und SP04 an die Staatsstraße 38 (Strada Statale 38 dello Stelvio) angeschlossen. Der nächste Bahnhof der Veltlinbahn ist im rund 6 Kilometer entfernten Morbegno, mit Anschluss nach Sondrio und Lecco.

Geschichte

Im Jahr 1963 verkaufte die Gemeinde Dazio den Weiler Pilasco an die Gemeinde Ardenno.
